Soap and Glory - Bath and Body

Soap and Glory, beauty, Body butter, exfoliator, Moisturiser, Righteous Butter, Skincare, Smoothie Star Breakfast scrub,
SOAP AND GLORY
For years I have heard so many people go on about Soap and Glory products. I don't know a blogger or Youtuber that hasn't RAVED about them, in particular their bath and body products.

I had a birthday voucher to spend in Boots and Soap and Glory was buy 1 get one half price. So it was the opportune moment to pick some stuff up and try them out.

Recent Empties

Hey guys and dolls,

Recent Empties, Garnier Mineral UltraDry Ultimate Protection 48hr Antiperspirant,

I've never done an empties post before, mainly because I usually just throw things away before I've thought about it. But I made a conscious effort to collect my empties to share with you guys. I don't have a tonne of items to show, but I think I have a fair decent amount. A lot of it is skincare as I seem to go through that a lot quicker than anything else.

SKINCARE | Daily Skincare Routine

Hey guys and dolls,

It's been a while since I updated my skincare routine on here, some things are still the same and there are a couple changes. If you haven't seen the post where I stated my original routine you can have a look here

With all the different products on the market, a skincare routine can be kind of daunting. And then all the questions that come along with starting a routine. What skin type am I? Do I use a gel or foam face wash?  Do I need to exfoliate? How often do I use an exfoliator/face mask? Should I use an eye cream? etc.

The best advice I can give you is to go and have a skin analysis done, that way you can find out your skin type/needs and have a routine mapped out for you. And from that you can then go and experiment with different brands.

EVENT | VICHY NORMADERM

Hey guys and dolls,

Last week I attended an event to hear about a new product from VICHY, Normaderm Night Detox. This product is the newest addition to their Normaderm range. This helps to control the production of sebum that occurs during the night, and it purifies the skin.

La Roche-Posay Suncare Event

Hey guys and dolls,

A little while ago I made my way to South Kensington, to attend a La Roche Posay event. The reason behind the event was to have a look at their Anthelios sun care range. With the Summer slowly approaching, now is the time to think about what you're going to use to protect your skin.

GARNIER MOISTURE MATCH

Hey dolls,

 Goodbye Dry 50ml
£5.99
I struggle so much to find moisturisers for sensitive AND dry skin on the high street that works well for my excessively dry face lol. I think I've found it in this moisturiser. It's a rich balmy formula, and cos its so rich you only need a little bit. I'm used to using moisturisers with a thinner consistency, but I'm quite enjoying this and it doesn't feel like my skin is suffocating underneath it, which I've found to be the case with thicker moisturisers.

I've been using this moisturiser for a number of weeks now and I'm really impressed. I think it's taken the place of my simple rich face moisturiser...shock horror I know cos I'm a simple skin care lover.

I was lucky enough to get it half price from Tesco, sometimes they have quite the good deal on Garnier skin care items. I've been contemplating trying out a full Garnier skin care range. I'm just in one of those moods to try something new. I still love my simple skin care but I want a change.

Have any of you tried the Garnier Moisture Match products? What are your thoughts?

Nivea Daily Essentials Double Effect Eye Makeup remover

Hey dolls,

High five for the long title haha.

Goodness can you believe it's already August??? Where the hell has half the year gone? I hope everyone has been enjoying the bi-polar weather as much as I have...NOT! One minute its hot as a mother and next minute we're in the midst of a thunderstorm. I just wanna yell at mother nature..."Get your shit together Carol". 5 points if you can name that movie ;-) Anywho onto the real reason we're here...

£1.64 (usually £3.29 at Superdrug)
I got this little gem half price at Sainsbury's. I wasn't looking to buy a new eye make up remover but at this price I couldn't say no.

I've never been into oil based make up removers but I really like this one. It gets my eye make up off so quickly. I think this may be my new go to remover. That's a big thing for me considering I've had a love affair with Simple's kind to eyes make up remover for like ever.

Shake it up for the two layers to mix together, as seen in the photo above.

This make up remover has a two-phase extra strength formula, an oil based layer and a water based layer. The oil phase effectively removes even waterproof mascara and eye-make-up. The aqueous phase protects and cares for the eye lashes with it's caring formula, without leaving an oily residue.

NUXE Goodie bag

Hey dolls,

A few weeks back I attended the NUXE blogger event, you can see the post on the event here. At the end of the event you were given a gift bag of goodies, here are the lovely things I got.

In the bag:
  •  NUXE notebook
  • A leaflet on the brand
  • RĂªve de Miel Hand and Nail Cream
  • Huile Prodigieuse Dry Oil
  •  Crème FraĂ®che de BeautĂ© Normal sensitive skins
  • Poster signed by Charlotte Du Jour (not pictured)

 QUENCHES, SOFTENS

Over the last however many years I've used my Simple face cream like 99% of the time  and haven't really branched out to many other brands. This is mainly due to the fact that I have really sensitive and very dry skin. This is a rich nourishing 24 hour facial moisturiser which does what it says on the tin and it sinks into the skin really well. I've tried a few creams and they feel like the just sit on the surface and dont really do anything. I've been incorporating this into my daily facial routine and I'm really liking it. A great thing about this moisturiser is that cos its so rich you don't need much of it.

REPAIRS, NOURISHES AND PROTECTS

We all know that I love my Avon hand and nail cream but I think this will take its place (until it runs out haha). This hand cream is brilliant, so nourishing and rich. And you only need a small amount for maximum moisture.

MULTI-USAGE DRY OIL

I've only used Avon's skin so soft dry oil spray. I've never been a dry oil user cos I've never really seen the point of using one. But I thought I've gibe this a go and see if I could make it work. And I'm glad I decided to cos I love it, after I shower I spritz my skin with this and use it as a base for my body cream. You can use this for the face, body and hair.

 Nuxe products are available here.

NUXE blogger event

Hey dolls,

*WARNING THIS IS GOING TO BE A PICTURE HEAVY POST*
(But there is some writing so do carry on scrolling)

At the end of May before the bank holiday I was lucky enough to attend the NUXE blogger event.

To be honest I hadn't heard much about the brand before attending, but as a blogger you see bits and bobs here and there, but nothing I'd taken in for content. But the whole evening was very informative. We got to try some of the products that were sprinkled around the event.

As its a french brand the whole event had a parisian theme, it was really nice and the atmosphere was really calming/welcoming.

The word NUXE comes from a mix of the words "Nature" and the french word for luxury "Luxe". Nuxe is all bout using the natural goodness that the earth provides in their products.

They had this lovely fountain at the event which had a few NUXE beauty items scattered over it.

They had some tasty nibbles, more specifically the famous Laduree macarons. But I think the tarts were the best.

I got to meet the lovely Charlotte Du Jour who illustrated the NUXE images that were placed all over the party. She also signed some posters for everyone, which I still have happily all packaged up cos I don't wanna ruin it :)

It was a lovely evening and I found some good products that I would like to try out in the future.

I fell in love with the RĂªve de Miel Ultra-Nourishing Lip Balm, it smelt so good I wanted to eat it. It was so good for my lips, very moisturising.

Keep an eye out for a review on the products I got from the goodie bag.
