HAPPY NEW YEAR LOVES! I hope 2016 is treating you well so far.

I'm not starting this New Year, New me bullsh*t that I've done a thousand times over. I've come into the New Year as the same person, but with a new outlook/attitude.

I think everyone is on the same thing this year, in regards to not making resolutions. I feel that resolutions set you up to fail, and then you get down on yourself for not achieving what you set out for yourself. I think a lot more people are about setting goals and achievements for themselves and general life changes that aren't specific to the start of a New Year/new you.

WOW! My blog turned 4 yesterday. It doesn't feel like it's been that long.

My blog was something that I started randomly. My friend Stevie (one half of the velvet epidemic) was actually the reason I started blogging. I'd wanted to start a blog for a while, but just never did it. Stevie had started up a blog of her own and gave me the confidence to go for it. So this blog started as a place for me to share my passion for make up. It has since become somewhere for me to share a whole lot more. It's a very big part of my life that I love very much.

As you can guess a change is a coming to Sonya Loves Makeup again. Not a big change, so don't worry.

Some people say change isn't necessarily a good thing, and they're right...sometimes. But change is what keeps things interesting.
