FASHION: Event OOTD

Hey guys and dolls,

Here's a quick look at what I wore to the La Roche-Posay event. What I love about some events is there is no pressure to be all fancy. So I went kinda casual, which I do most of the time.

La Roche-Posay Suncare Event

Hey guys and dolls,

A little while ago I made my way to South Kensington, to attend a La Roche Posay event. The reason behind the event was to have a look at their Anthelios sun care range. With the Summer slowly approaching, now is the time to think about what you're going to use to protect your skin.

VICHY DERMABLEND Blogger event

Hey guys and dolls,

A few weeks ago I was invited to an event to hear about the new product launches from Vichy DERMABLEND. Having studied make up and learning all the ways to camouflage and correct, DERMABLEND came up a few times along the way. DERMABLEND offers high coverage make up for minor and severe skin concerns.

La Roche-Posay blogger event

Hey guys and dolls,

Even if you haven't tried one of their products before, everyone in the beauty community has heard of the french skincare brand La Roche-Posay.

I attended an event to hear about the ever so popular Effaclar Duo [+]. I hadn't tried the original product so I'm glad I get to try the improved version. We sat down and listened to a presentation about what the products is and the benefits of using the cream.

Nails Inc blogger event

Hey dolls,

Last week (3rd September) I was fortunate to attend a Nails Inc blogger event, in Bond Street. If you've never been to the Nails Inc Bond Street store you should defo go and check it out. It's located on South Molton Street, the cutest/quaint little street, with great shops. It still has that old English vibe to it which is cool. I arrived early, shock horror, so popped into Space NK and Lush and had a little peruse (but I was good and didn't spend any money). I could do some serious damage in those places.

The whole point of the event was to get a Monogram Manicure (which was pretty frickin awesome), see the launch of their Autumn/Winter collection and to view their new gel effect polishes (which are amazing btw).

At the event you were greeted with a drink, I opted for a glass of the bubbly stuff (would've been rude not to haha) and these adorable little cupcakes, which shockingly I didn't partake in.

I got to take a look around the store at all the lovely products, while I waited to get my manicure.

When I finally sat down to get my nails done, the hard question came..."What do I want my nails to say?", I wanted my blog name on my nails but they unfortunately didn't have a heart symbol :( boohoo lol. So I opted for "SONYA #MKUP" and the gel effect polish in "Bond Street", very fitting.

I was so pleased when they were done. And the lady who did my nails was so lovely her name was Orla and we had a nice little natter about our love for the Real Housewives of Atlanta lol and in particular our love of the fabulous Nene Leakes.

Here is a picture of me getting my manicure done. Credit for the picture goes to the Nails Inc instagram.
One of the best parts of the night was meeting the lovely Zoe aka "The London Lipgloss". I had a total fan girl moment when she walked through the door haha. She was so sweet and very humble and was lovely enough to take a picture with me.

It was a great night and I couldn't have been more happy with my nails. I was especially happy with the swag bag I got :) I love the Nails Inc bags, been asked by both my mum and big sis if they can have it lol.

Keep a look out over the next few days to see the amazing stuff I got a sneak peak at.
Sonya xoxo

Atelier Cologne blogger event

Hey dolls,

I was lucky enough to be invited to the Atelier Cologne blogger event for the launch of their Metal Collection. I have a confession to make, I attended this event in July and I may have forgotten to blog about it...woopsie lol.

I hadn't heard much about this brand before but its always great to discover more about a brand with such a great product.

The event was held at the Liberty, it was my first time ever going there, and considering I live in London and its literally around the corner from Oxford Street station I have no excuse for never going before this event. Although  being in the beauty community for as long as I have I had heard about this place A LOT. Its kind of a beauty lovers house of worship or haven haha.

When we got to the event we were greeted with cute decor, the room was sprinkled with Atelier colognes, beverages and some lovely nibbles.

We were then introduced to the brand by the creators. A lovely french couple (Sylvie Ganter and her husband Christophe Cervasel) who shared with us a romantic story of how they met (so cute) and how they came up with the idea of their company. They talked us through a select few of their fragrances and read the stories that went alongside the perfume. You could tell how passionate the creators were of the product they'd created and how much thought had gone into each cologne they manufactured.

Quick note: Some pics are a tad blurry, sorry about that but the lighting wa rather dim and hadnt realised until I got home.

A couple of my favourite colognes

Now for the main reason we were there. The launch of the mwtal collection - Silver Iris and Gold Leather. The colognes are made from thr finest ingredients from around the world. The bottles that encased the colognes are made from precious metals, which made them that more special.

Their scents are very unique and not like a lot of the fragrances that are on the market. The Atelier colognes are very potent and long lasting.

"A woman of such intimidating beauty and sparkling vitality gained the adoration of everyone around her. However, no one knew what she had been through. With the wild spirit, she was tough, stronger than metal, and never looked back. When she met him, for the first time in her life, she could sand still. She may have found the absolu man."

"A an of such great power and charisma could have anything he asked. Despite it all, he could not have the only thing he really wanted. For the first time in his life, he had found the absolue woman and he was a better man for it He would not let her go. Anything but that. He would trade all the gold in the world to be with her."

Atelier do their own embossed refillable travel bottles so you can take your cologne with you on the go. They come in these lovely leather pouches. And whats great about these little pouches is that they can be engraved with a messages or initials. I think that's such a cute idea.

It was a lovely evening and I loved getting to sample their fragrances. My favourite scent of theirs has to be Vanilla, a great scent for any time of day and any season.

I will be keeping a considerable eye on this brand in the future to see what other little gems they come out with.

At the event we were gifted a travel bottle filled with Atelier Cologne and an information booklet on the metal collection.

Atelier Cologne is available at Selfridges.
