Sleek Matte palette V2 - Darks

Hey dolls,

I have been trying to get my hands on this palette for AGES. I went into Superdrug in Westfield and they didn't have it which I was surprised at cos its a bigger store than most that I've been to and has more customer traffic. But to my dismay they didn't have it. I went into the west London westies and found the final palette on the shelf and was sad to find it was shattered and nasty. So I called over one of the shop assistants and she went through every single stock drawer and palette until she found me the darks palette. She was so helpful, I wanted to hug her haha. So the Sheperd's bush westfield that store was a GODSEND! I got my 2012 collection (post to come) and obviously this palette :) It was a good day :)

You defo need to get your hands on the Ultra matte palettes. They're worth the money. I also love how different they are. 

This palette is definitely for night time and create a multitude of smokey eye looks.

Barry M Magnetic Nail Polish - Dark Silver

2 weeks ago I went out shopping with my mum and sister, I didn't have any intention of buying anything but then we went to both Westfield' (Shepherds bush/Stratford). I tend not to go to the West London Westies but my sister was on the hunt for a specific item (irrelevant lol). So I didn't get much at the Stratford store, and by much I mean I only bought one thing. Now I had heard about the Barry M magnetic nail polishes but hadn't really wanted to buy one. But I saw it and thought why not.

I was really surprised how much I liked this, and the price aint too shabby.

If you're not aware of magnetic nail polishes (which I highly doubt) and how you use them. The nail polish comes with a separate lid with the magnet. So you apply your polish and then hover the magnet over your nail and wait for it to work its magic. 

Now the Barry M polish says on the bottle to apply one coat let it dry, apply the second coat and then use the magnet. But I find the effect shows up better if you apply one coat and then use the magnet.

I'm defo gonna buy the other colours, especially as they each have a different pattern.

Just a little haul from Avon, this one turned up a little earlier than expected due to an error with my order online, which I am not complaining about cos its here over a week early :) *does happy dance*

 So here is what I got...

 I have so many purple polishes, but none of them are the same, they all differ and I'm glad this one does the same. This was opaque after 2 coats and I'm really happy with it :)

 Shine Attract Lip Gel - Shining Cherry

It says that these are supposed to improve lip moisture. I will update you on that once I've used it properly. I'm sure this will become a favourite of mine as I really liked the shine attract lipsticks.

Disappointing Product

Hey dolls,

I cant remember when Avon came out with their Matte nail polishes but I swatched them and then kinda forgot about them. But I recently sorted out all my nail polishes and thought I'd start wearing them.

 Avon matte nail polish - Grey Cement

So the polish didn't exactly go on evenly as you can see in the pic. But I managed to fix it. But after I'd sorted my nails and went about my day (which consisted of me sitting on my butt all day watching telly lol) this happened to my nails throughout the day...

 

Its like it was just peeling off. I then went out and again wasn't really using my hands and the nail polish just kept falling off, it was the strangest thing. I felt so embarrassed on the train when people could see my nails.
