MUA Undressed palette

Hey dolls,

I finally jumped on the band wagon and bought the Undressed palette from MUA (Make Up Academy). Now if you don't know who MUA are, they are a high street Make up brand available in superdrug or via their website. Their biggest appeal is that most of their make up can be bought for a £1.

The undressed palette has been compared time and time again to the Urban Decay Naked palette, and I'd have to agree that they are so similar (almost identical). But when faced with the choice of £30 on a palette or £4, its a no brainer. I got this in a 3 for 2 deal at superdrug (the other items from that haul are gonna trickle out over the next week or so).

Now I knew that when I bought this palette that a lot of the shades wouldn't suit me because Naked in the industry applies to lighter skinned ladies but I knew there were a few colours that I'd be able to pull off.

I ain't mad at this palette. I think I'm definitely gonna repurchase this and have it for my professional make up kit. It'll be great for weddings.

My camera was such a pain the day I took these, it wouldn't pick up certain colours, because in the flesh they didn't show up this faded. I need a new camera for sure.

Where else to find me...

Hey dolls,

So for a couple weeks now I've been hearing over the bloggersphere that GFC will be no more next week. GFC is a way to follow other blogs. This means you may lose the people you currently follow via GFC, so I wanted to let you all know the other places to find me :)

George by Asda nail polish

Hey dolls,

I never look at supermarkets own brand make up stuff usually and if I do its very rare. But I was shopping in Asda as you do and their nail polishes caught my eye. I only knew about the George fashion range, didn't know they had make up. And considering they were £1.50, I was all over it. I wish at the time I'd picked up a few more shades.

I got two sort of similar shades, which was not intentional. But to be fair they did look different in the store, ah well.

Blue Lagoon

Ultraviolet

You'd probably think that with it being so cheap its not gonna be good quality. I used to think the same way, but over the years I've learnt that's not always gonna be the case. For the price its a good nail polish. And I will probably check out more shades when I next hit up Asda.

Avon Haul Part 2

Hey dolls,

Here is part 2 of the Avon haul. You can see part 1 here.

Infinitize Mascara

This brush is so scary looking, and its kinda sharp. I find it really uncomfortable to use. Maybe I'm using it wrong I dunno but I'm not a huge fan of it. I haven't really picked it up to use it since I first purchased it for the reasons stated but I am gonna give it another go and see if I can make it work.

"Contains lash sculpting, lengthening fibres and curling molecule to help shape and set lash curve and length for 24 hours."

 ColorTrend Lasting Smile Lip Paint

Another ColorTrend newbie.
I don't love these, but I don't hate them. I'm kind of indifferent.
The formula is nice but I don't like how it applies on the lips.

 Nocturnal
Gorgeous burgundy red. The name is fitting cos when I saw the shade I instantly thought Vampiress.

 Lolita
This colour rubs me up the wrong way. I just don't like it. When you swatch it it doesn't look how it does in the stick. And when I apply it to my lips I just feel like you can barely see it.

 Melon Drama
This shade is too light for me, so its going into my make up kit.

Left to right: Nocturnal, Lolita, Melon Drama

 Be...JOYFUL perfume
A light and fruity perfume that's great for the daytime. The bottle is a good size to chuck in your purse/handbag for topping up throughout the day.

SuperSHOCK Lip Gloss:
Pumped Up Plum
Tickled Pink
I love these lip glosses, I have almost the entitre collection but one...I think. They leave your lips looking super slick and shiny. And the applicator is one of my faves.

When I first saw Pumped Up Plum (which you cant really see from the pic), I thought it was gonna be too dark could seem a bit intimidating, but when I swatched it I found that not to be the case.

Tickled Pink is a bit too light for me so I'm gonna throw it into my make up kit.

Left: Plumped Up Plum
Right: Tickled Pink

Always On Point Eyeliner - Black
I only use 2 eyeliners, MAC fluidline in Black Track and Avon SuperSHOCK pencil. But when I saw this I wanted to try it cos it had a really good selling point, a sharpener in the lid. So you can always have your eyeliner ready to create precise lines.

Adalina Earrings
Like I said in part 1 of the haul Ive been broadening my jewellery collection and trying to find some cute bits for the summer (what little summer England is giving us...like literally "Get your s**t together Carol" haha). I'm starting to embrace gold jewellery. I tend to go for silver, white gold or platinum jewellery cos I can findit more elegant, some gold jewellerycan be a bit chavvy/tacky. But I'm starting to like it.

Avon Haul Part 1

Hey dolls,

I haven't done an Avon haul in a little while and have still been purchasing some things here and there. So this haul is gonna be in 2 parts as I did not want to bombard you with a whole bunch of photos.

Pure 02 perfume
This a repurchase. I bought this a few months back and I love it so much they had on sale so I picked up another one.

Advanced Techniques Moroccan Argan Oil - Leave in treatment
Another repurchase - I'm all about argan oil. I love this product a lot and as long as Avon keep making it I'm gonna keep buying it.

Planet Spa Mediterranean olive oil hydrating face mask
I suffer with dry skin and I normally use my Simple face mask but I wanted to see what else I could try and as this is an olive oil based face mask I thought Id give it a whirl.

Antler Cabin bag
I only heard about Antler bags when I started selling for Avon, but ever since I have fallen in love with their bags. I have a couple but this one is by far my favourite. I use this as my day to day handbag but its also great for hand luggage on a plane.

Far Away Bella collection

 Far Away Bella

With each purchase of the perfume you got a moisturiser and purse spray. I'm not even gonna insult your intelligence by trying to describe the scent. If you know me I am the WORST a describing perfume or spray scents.

I will give you the description that comes with the bottle... "A free-spirited adventure awaits, with juicy clementine from Italy and blooming magnolia flower from China, finished with intriguing tonka bean from Brazil"

Perfect Kiss lip gloss - Kiss of a Rose
"With natural oils and fruit enzymes for softer, smoother lips. Lightweight moisturising gloss instantly makes lips look and feel more kissable."

This is a great lip gloss to have for everyday.

I'm really weird about lip gloss applicators, well not weird more particular. I like a larger applicator not those silly little thin ones. I'm liking this applicator a lot.

 ColorTrend lengthening mascara - Black

This is a great mascara, it makes my lashes all nice and long and it separates them too.

Extra Lasting lipstick
Fiery Red
Pink Perfection

"Moisturising high-definition lipstick with Fresh Wear Complex lasts up to 8 hours. Feels luxurious with a silky satin finish. With SPF15."

I'm all abut the bright lips this year. Reds and pinks are definitely my go to colours.

Left- Pink Perfection
Right - Fiery Red

 Hello Kitty necklace

How frickin cute is this necklace????
I don't know any girl who doesn't own something Hello Kitty.

I love the little bow detail on the clasp.

Illana earrings
I've been looking at broadening my accessories collection and Avon have had some cute pieces recently.

"It all started with a Big Bang..." - Rimmel Apocalips

Hey dolls,

APOCALIPS lip lacquer
 BIG BANG

We've all heard about and tried the Rimmel Apocalips lip lacquers. I bought a couple a while back, you can see that post here. Unfortunately they didn't have Big Bang in stock at the time.

A couple weeks back I went shopping at superdrug and they had a 3 for 2 deal going on. That's always dangerous (for me and my bank account) when I'm around that kind of deal. But I finally got to add this to my collection, along with some other well known gems that I'll be posting about soon.

Its such a great red, which I'm all about this year. I love that it has a satin finish, cos Im not a fan of overly glossy red lips.

What's your favourite Apocalips shade?
