Jaclyn Hill X Morphe
Last week I had a belated birthday celebration with my girls, and one of their gifts to me was the Jaclyn Hill palette. I wish someone had filmed my reaction to me opening this, I was in absolute shock. My girlfriends had said that they had gone in a joint gift and I had no idea what to expect. All I can say is that I was not expecting this. I have wanted this palette for so long but I'm not the most comfortable purchasing things from overseas and when it was finally available in the UK (via Beauty Bay) I was broke (typical Sod's law). This palette has been one of the most talked about collaborations in the beauty community, both good and bad. It had so much hype around it and very mixed reviews. But even with the bad reviews I still was eager to try it myself and I was finally able to. So if you wanna hear my thoughts on the Jaclyn Hill X Morphe palette keep on reading.

PACKAGING
THOUGHTS
Eyeshadow: I absolutely love this palette. It's filled with matte, shimmer, satin, foil and glitter shadows. The colours are so pigmented and feel so buttery. I had an issue with Creamsicle, Enchanted, Central Park, Soda Pop and Abyss being a bit muddy/patchy, but I'm sure I'll be able to work with them. Other than that I absolutely love love love this palette and am very grateful for my besties for purchasing it for me. Bestest friends a girl could ask for.
Packaging: The packaging at first glance looks so chic and on trend. But for the price of the palette the packaging could have been A LOT better, I definitely wouldn't want to travel with it, in fear that my shadows would get damaged. If the packaging was made out of the normal Morphe material then it would've been really great, and less likely to get dirty. A mirror would have made the palette more of a winner too.
Favourite shades: Little lady, Firework, S.B.N (Smoky But Natural), Hillster, Cranapple, Royalty, Twerk, Meeks, Pool Party and Jada.
I do not think this palette deserved the hateration it received and if my friends hadn't gifted it to me, I still would've bought it myself.
