Sleek 2012 collection

Hey dolls,

"Get into the spirit of the games in style with Sleek MakeUP’s limited edition 2012 Collection, capturing London’s most exciting event this summer. Featuring i-Divine in Glory, Blush in Honour and Pout Polish in Pride, it’s everything you’ll need to take you from day to night in true winning style!"

I first heard about this palette when Beauty by JJ, posted a pic of this palette on instagram and I fell in love with it. I'm not the most patriotic person but when I saw that the new palette was based around the London Underground I was so excited and thought it was such a cool idea. And I'm looking at the train lines and I was sat here like "I've used all these lines" I know I'm sad hahaha

Pout polish - Pride
£4.29

Blush - Honour
£4.29

The blush and pout polish are pretty much the same colour. They're a rose gold/bronze shade. They remind me of MAC's Rose pigment just not a shimmery. These really suit my skin tone I feel. I'm really impressed with this collection.

Swatches:
Top - Honour
Bottom - Pride

e/s palette - Glory
£7.99

Top L-R: Tube, Overground, Bakerloo, Jubilee, Platform, Northern
Bottom L-R:District, Hammersmith and city, Piccadilly, Circle, Victoria, Central

The top row minus Northern has very natural shades. And then the bottom line is very bright and out there. Which I LOVE. This palette is very versatile and is suitable for anytime of day or night.

Swatches

I thought for those of you who aren't from London or never used the tube I'd show the tube map where these palette was inspired by. This is the map we use to get around London. It looks confusing but once you get used to it, its not. So the e/s palette was based around some of these train lines. Some colours aren't exact but I don't mind.

I just noticed that in the Bronze, Silver and Gold medals on the packaging it has the name of the product on it. For example on the e/s palette on the gold medal it says glory, on the silver it says honour and on the bronze medal it says pride.

I would definitely recommend that if you can get your hands on this GET IT!!!!!!!!! Its amazing. And its not the easiest to get a hold of, the Stratford westfield superdrug has not got this in stock and neither does my town centre superdrug. So I was so happy to get this.

This is available in store and its finally available online :)

Sleek Blush by 3

Hi my lovelies,

So I have really been out of the make up scene as late, like I said in my previous Avon haul I have only been buying from Avon because it is at my disposal.

I was watching Jennie's latest haul video on her youtube channel beautybyjj, and she mentioned how she had bought these new limited edition blushes from sleek. As I was out on Tuesday I thought I'd head into my town centre and check out the new blushes. There are 5 sets full of beautiful colours suitable for all skin tones. Some of the sets had one or two blushes that I could wear but then there'd be one or two blushes in a set that I wouldn't be able to use. So I settled for the one I'm really disappointed that these are limited edition cos these are really great and good value for money. Unfortunately for those outside of the UK you cant buy these blushes online, they're only available in Superdrug.

I got the set in PINK SPRINT, as you can tell from the name its all pink based blushes, which are all suitable for my skin tone :) These blush sets retail at £9.99

Left to right: Pink Parfait, Pink Ice, Pinktini
Theses blushes are all a matte finish, which I really like cos I'm not a huge fan of shimmery blush. These colours are highly pigmented and the colours are buildable/blendable.

Top to bottom: Pink Parfait, Pink Ice, Pinktini

If any of you have bought any of theses sets link me to your posts :)

Sleek Makeup Mini Haul: Berry Collection and Me, Myself and I

Hello my lovelies,

So last week I ordered myself the Sleek Berry Collection, and the Me, Myself and I palette that I wanted for absolutely ages. So here goes with the pics and swatches...

I got a little excited taking pics of it in the box haha :/

Me,Myself and I palette

Without flash (my camera did not wanna co-operate and not be blurry)
 With flash
TOP L-R: Barry White, Black Box, Salt 'N' Peppermint, Simply Red, Pink Beret, Primal Green
BOTTOM L-R: Fade to Grey, Blue Monday, Supernova, Chris De Burgundy, Lilac Allen, Golden Silvers

Description of the palette from Sleek.com: It’s the ultimate collaboration of beauty and fashion: Sleek MakeUP has teamed up with fashion house PPQ to produce the makeup looks for PPQ’s London fashion week show. The  Me, Myself & Eye I-Divine is the result of a mutual admiration of colour, texture and vibrancy! Taking inspiration from PPQ’s S/S 2012 theme, the palette is a heavy mix of pattern and colour to toughen up feminine summer silhouettes making it the ultimate accessory for every self-confessed fashionista and beauty lover! Packed with an array of brilliant bolds, with matte and shimmer eye colours, you can create endless looks from smoky black, to glistening and gold. The finishing touch is PPQ’s renowned naughty sense of humour, with eye shadow names like Lilac Allen, Primal Green and Barry White!
Me, Myself & Eye is an online exclusive and a limited edition product.

The palette is very pigmented and is a mix of frosty, shimmery and matte colours. Everyone can use this palette no matter what skin tone you are. You can only get this palette online and it is £6.49. I'm really excited to create some looks with this. And I absoloutely love the names of the shadows. My favourite shadows are Primal Green, Chris De Burgundy, Lilac Allen and Blue Monday. Like all other sleek palettes I've had, this one will also get a rating.

So based on my first impressions I would give this palette a 4 out 5 :)

Berry Collection

I love the packaging it comes in, so cute and christmasy :) and the colours they have chosen are perfect for the Christmas/winter seasons. You can get this collection in store at any Superdrug or online. And I would seriously hop to it cos my Superdrug only had like 2 left on the shelf which is why I'm really glad I ordered from the sleek website.

All the products in the collection are Matte which has made me love it even more :)

A description of the palette from the website.

Sleek Make up Haul

Hello all,

I'm finally back with a blog post. A couple weeks back I ordered a few items from Sleek makeup, which I tweeted about, but since I've been so so busy with my new job I just have not had the time to blog, and with the little free time I did have I'd be chilling cos I'd just be so tired from work.

But as I have the day off  today I thought I would finally get around to posting about the stuff I bought.
Caribbean Collection (Limited Edition)

Curacao - £6.49

"Embrace the exotic colours of paradise with the 12 shades of the Curacao i-Divine. From deep sea blue’s to zesty oranges and vivid coral’s, create endless striking looks using contrasting shades or make an entrance with an effortless sweep of colour.  For the ultimate exotic look, team with Aruba blush and Bonaire Pout Polish."
Top L-R: Tequila Sunrise, Martini, Blue Hawaii, Bloody Mary, Screwdriver, Green Iguana
Bottom L-R: Apres Midori, Blue Lagoon, Purple Haze, Green Martini, Singapore Sling, Espresso Martini
This palette is GORGEOUS!!!!!! You couldn't ask for more out of a palette, the colours really represent the collection. So bright and pigmented. I love it. The only disappopining thing is the yellow eyeshadow isn't very pigmented on my skin. I'd give the palette 4.5 out of 5. Its still available in store and online so I would defo get yourself down to your local Superdrug or on the sleek website and purchase this bad boy, :)

 Aruba Blush - £4.30

"Aruba blush provides the ultimate colour of paradise, sweep on lightly for a tropical wash of coral or layer to build an intense holiday hue.  Team with the Curacao i-Divine and Bonaire pout polish to complete your colourful Caribbean inspired look."
 Bonaire pout polish - £4.30
"Get luscious lips with Bonaire pout polish, the tangerine tinted gloss is enriched with jojoba, avocado, and sweet almond oil as well as SPF15, so you can simmer away in summer’s rays whilst your pout remains perfectly protected.  Team with Curacao i-Divine and Aruba blush for this summer’s essential holiday collection."
I lost the picture of the swatches of the lip gloss and blush. The lip gloss has a slight hint of orange when applied and it has a nice scent which is fitting for the collection, its kinda coconut-y the blush is pretty much what you see is what you get, its very bright, but it is build-able. I like to mix Aruba with Santorini (Mediterranean collection)

Oh So Special - £6.49 (Limited Edition)

"It’s the ultimate i-Divine that every woman should have in her possession, with 12 flattering on-trend shades to suit all skin tones no matter what the occasion, the Oh So Special palette will always deliver the perfect results. Take your look from day time chic with matte browns and creamy beiges, through to sultry evening glamour with shimmering grays and smokey plums. A make-up bag staple and a must-have i-Divine you can rely on, so no matter where you are or what you’re doing you’ll look Oh So Special!"

Top L-R: Bow, Organza, Ribbon, Gift Basket, Glitz, Celebrate
Bottom L-R: Pamper, Gateau, The Mail, Boxed, Wrapped Up, Noir
This palette reminds of me of the Storm palette, with obvious differences, but the main similarity is that you can create neutral and dramatic eye looks with this. I defo will be using this palette to create a Smoky eye. The colours are really pigmented, like ALL Sleek palettes. I couldn't manage to purchase the palette in ANY Superdrug store cos they were sold out, much like the Curacao palette. So I would make sure you go online and buy this palette.I'd give this palette a 4.5 out of 5.
Scandalous Blush £4.30
"The silky-fine formulation provides long lasting blusher which helps to create a subtle but radiant cheek area.
Apply using a small powder/blusher brush, by swirling the brush over the surface of the blusher. Tap off excess powder and apply onto the apples of the cheeks to emphasise your cheeks and your smile, or just below the cheek bone to create a sculpted look."
The blush is a nice colour that can be used for day or night as its build-able, it can give you that subtle hint of colour and then you can amp it up for the evening.
Eyebrow pencil in Brown - £2.59
"A creamy formula pencil used to fill in, shape and define eyebrows without smudging or flaking."
I don't usually use eyebrow pencil, I normally use eyeshadow, but I thought I might mix it up and try a pencil instead. That is when I bother to do my eyebrows haha. I do find that pencil is a lot more, what's the word I'm looking for? Erm...its a lot more daring than I'm used to, cos it's a lot more full on than how I would normally do my eyebrows. I just need to get past that initial..."WHOA!" stage.
Kohl Eyeliner pencil in Black - £2.59
"An ultra creamy-matte formula pencil used to define the eyes."
My MAC Smolder kohl pencil is coming up to a nub, so I thought I might try Sleeks Kohl eyeliner pencil. So far I like it.
Eye Drama mascara in Black Out - £4
"This state of the art mascara has an ultra flexible silicone brush. The formulation contains nylon fibres adding both length and volume to each lash, creating a dramatic effect."
This is a great mascara, I could see an instant difference and I love the wand. I never used a wand like the one that comes with this mascara. I'm a big fan :)

Free Gift - Mini High shine lip gloss in the colour "In your Dreams"

The colour isn't coming out too well in the photo, but what is in the packaging is what comes out on the lips. Gorgeous colour and really nice scent to it as well :)

Hope you enjoyed the post. I should hopefully get another one up tomorrow or Sunday :o)

Sleek Mediterranean Collection/FOTD

So last Wednesday (8th June) Sleek came out with a fabulous collection called the Mediterranean collection. I manged to get mine on the Friday, I literally ran to Superdrug haha

It comes with:
"Inspired by the Mediterranean, this 12 shade palette is the perfect addition to your summer make-up. Choose from sunset oranges and browns, or breezy turquoise to highlight your holiday tan! Best worn with our hot pink Monte Carlo pout polish and Santorini blush to achieve the perfect Mediterranean summer look."  - from the website.

 Monaco eyeshadow palette
Top L-R: Bamboo, Aquamarine, Midnight garden, Sunset, Washed Ashore, Magenta Madness
Bottom L-R:  Summer Breeze, Sand Walker, Kiwi Zest, Lotus Flower, Humming Bird, Moors Treasure

This palette is AMAZING!! The colours are SO pigmented, as you can see from the picture below. I saw a post on this by Bubblegarm and I was SO SO excited to purchase this collection. My favourite's are...OK so I just tried to pick my favourite and I can't haha

Monte Carlo Pout Polish it comes out very sheer, but it does give your lips a nice touch of colour. And it doesn't give you that gross sticky thing that some lip glosses do.

Santorini blush
Santorini blush is INSANE, when I saw it I could not believe the vibrancy of this colour. It does not fail once on the skin, it is very build-able, but if I went any brighter I would have looked like a clown or an 80s reject haha
I couldn't be more happy with this collection. I give it 5 out of 5. If you do not own this collection, go get it NOW!!!! You can get Sleek at Superdrugs or on the Sleek website. Seriously get it before its sold out :)

Here are two eye looks I tried out, while I was playing with the palette..
NOTE: Please ignore the terrible state my eyebrows are in, they need serious plucking.

The colours used were: Kiwi Zest first part of the lid and Humming bird on the outer corner of the lid and bamboo as a highlight.

Sandwalker on the main part of the lid and Moors Treasure on the outer part of the lid and Bamboo as a highlight.

So after playing around I decided to do a full face of make up using the entire collection.

I would run to your nearest superdrug and get this collection the blush and pout polish were going fast. I luckily got the LAST Santorini on the shelf...yay me :-)

FOTD:
