Hi my loves,

OK so I saw that Tanya Burr (pixi2woo) had done a Christmas tag and I love doing YouTube tags. But as I don't have an active youtube channel I do the tags on here. I remember doing a Christmas tag last year, you can see them here and here if you're interested :)

I love Christmas its my favourite holiday.

The things I have movies that always watch at Christmas or do they mean Christmas themed movies?

2. Whats Your Favourite Christmas Colour? 

My favourite colour is the mix of red, green and gold that always reminds me of Christmas :)

3. Do You Like To Stay in Your PJ's Or Dress Up For Christmas?

I will stay in my pj's for the day but when its time for Christmas dinner I get all dressed up and do my make up etc :)

4. If You Could Only Buy One Person a Present This Year Who Would It Be? 

I dunno why someone would ask this question. I buy everyone presents.

5. Do You Open Your Present Christmas Eve Or Christmas Morning?

I don't know who opens their presents on Christmas eve, it ain't Christmas lol Christmas morning is always me and my family getting up stupidly early and running downstairs to open our presents together.

 

6. Have You Ever Built a Ginger Bread House?

I HATE ginger. I cant stand any form of biscuit or food that has ginger in it...GROSS. But this year me and my sisters are making a "gingerbread house" made out of shortbread. I'm really excited to do it, like stupidly excited hahaha We have a gingerbread mould so its gonna be fun times.

7. What Do You Like To Do On Your Christmas Break?

Spend time with my family and enjoy the time off that we all have together. Me and my sisters sit and watch movies and play boardgames like Monopoly and Cluedo :) And then us girls go out during the sales which is always...fun cos of the crazy bargain hunters :/ haha

8. Any Christmas Wishes?

My Christmas wish would be for me to get a job for the new year (preferably at the start of January.)

9. Favourite Christmas Smell?

That smell when all the food is being made and the scent just starts waffting throught the air mmmmmmmmmm good times haha.

10. Favourite Christmas Meal Or Treat?

My favourite treat at Christmas is the Shortbread biscuit tin from Marks and Spencers. Its a favourite of me and my mum. We get it every year without fail. I love a shortbread biscuit. We've got the tin sitting in our dining room for a few weeks now and I have been tempted to open it, I wouldn't, but I'm tempted haha.

Budapest Holiday

Hello my loves,

OK so I was flicking through my digital camera the other day and realised that I had not uploaded my haul or any pics from my holiday to Budapest in MAY! I know bloody hell haha. So I thought I would share the stuff I bought from Duty free and Budapest and some pics from the holiday and things we did. So lets start with the sights.

Vaci Ut is where we stayed at an Ibis hotel (I'm not even gonna go into details of how much I disliked where we stayed. I just know I wouldn't go there again. But whatever...on with the show haha. And TV in Hungarian isn't that fun lol.

So below is pictures taken from a boat ride we went on, it was fun. We had these headsets to listen to throughout. They have some beautiful buildings over there. I don't remember the name of the buildings but I just thought they were so pretty :) (not knowing the names of things is going to be a recurring theme through this post haha)

 This was a gorgeous building/fountain.

The main part of our trip was to visit the Duna film studios (I don't remember the exact name lol) We went on a complete tour of the place, sets, sets in the building process and just pretty much every inch of the place. So the main two things we saw when we visited was a partial set of Hellboy 2 and the TV series  The Borgias. I didn't even know parts of Hellboy 2 were filmed in Hungary until I stepped on the set lol but it was so cool to be on the set of such a massive film. I also got really excited when I saw the first advert for The Borgias for Sky Atlantic I was like to everyone "OMG  I was on that set ahhhhh!"

Széchenyi Spa

This spa was ABSOLUTELY GORGEOUS! I couldn't believe it, if you ever go to Budapest I suggest you go here it was AMAZING! The outside was lovely but the decor inside was just beautiful. Except for the weird fountain that had water coming out of the kids private area (we were all quite disturbed by that) :/ Word of warning if they offer you a water that is supposed to be really cleansing, dont take it, it smells like sulphur and rotten eggs and a few of my friends that tried it threw up and wretched a little haha, I left the picture out cos it had too many faces in it and I havent had permission from the girls and my tutors to put it up. But just take my word for it and dont drink it haha, unless you like the taste of eggs and sulphur :/

So a main part of my tip was shopping haha, we used to take the metro to get to the main shopping area. Their metro kinda reminded me of the American trains or subway lol. But it was a bit confusing especially with it all being in Hungarian (duh lol) So while we were looking around the shops this window caught my eye and I just had to take a pic. I dunno why but I thought of Alice in Wonderland when I saw this. And this may sound weird but I thought the bunny looked, I wann say pretty? lol

And this street performer, she was so nice :)

And after being all tired out from shopping we went into TGI Fridays. The food and atmosphere was good, until I found a piece of glass in my drink, and they didn't even comp my meal (which they really should have)

I think I will be doing a post like this of my holiday to Egypt in October (17 days ahhhh so excited)

New Year's Tag 2010

I am extremely late with this but as its still January...just haha I think its ok :o)

Questions:

What did you do in 2010 that you'd never done before?
Got distinction for my special effects make up assignment/assessment. I was very proud of myself the day I got that grade :)

Did you keep your new years' resolutions, and will you make more for next year?
I didn’t make any new years resolutions, and I won’t be making any for next year, I tend to just have goals in mind of what I want to do, but it’s not a big deal if I don’t stick to them.

Did anyone close to you give birth?

No unfortunately :(

Did anyone close to you die?

Fortunately NO :)

What countries did you visit?

I didn’t visit any countries this year :(

What would you like to have in 2011 that you lacked in 2010?

I really want an apple laptop, DSLR camera to record youtube videos and take quality pictures for my blog, oh and a job. I would really love a job next year.

What dates from 2010 will remain etched upon your memory?

The dates that will be etched in my memory are the two Paramore concerts I went to this year in the 13^th and 15^th November and the You Me At Six concert I went to on 16^th December, those were two of the most amazing concerts ever I heart Josh and Hayley :D

What was your biggest failure?

My biggest failure was not doing my homework on time and starting it as soon as I was given it, like I said I would last year….bad Sonya.

Did you suffer illness or injury?

Nothing fatal, just the flu and tonsillitis :(

What was the best thing you bought?
Ooooh that’s tough, erm…make up related: my sleek limited edition palettes

Compared to this time last year, are you:
a) happier or sadder?

I’m sadder due to personal things that have gone on in my life the past few months, but getting happier :o)
b) thinner or fatter? Thinner…I know I’m still a big girl but I have been losing weight cos of this slimming class I joined. I love it and the people there are so supportive.
c) richer or poorer? Unfortunately poorer, I had to quit my job to go to school.

What do you wish you'd done more of?
School work, I was really behind after xmas :(

What do you wish you'd done less of?
Procrastinate

How will you be spending New Years?
I spent it with two friends and stayed sober :)

It’s really bad but I cannot remember the last book I read of 2010 that is.

Just remembered one it was called Wives v. Girlfriends by Katie Agnew, I really enjoyed this book :o)

What was your greatest musical discovery?
Alexa Goddard – She is sooooooo talented.

What did you want and get?

I wanted new clothes and got them :)

What did you want and not get?

My IMATS ticket L oh and a MAC book

What was your favorite film of this year?
Transformers and Transformer 2 (they count as one anyways hahaha)

What did you do on your birthday?
I had a little get together at my house with my two best friends and my family; very quiet this one as I was only tuning 22 :)

What one thing would have made your year immeasurably more satisfying?
Getting my room re-decorated.

How would you describe your personal fashion concept in 2010?

My concept was rather casual/sexy casual.
Summer: I was in a lot of leggings, sandals and tops.

Winter: You would rarely catch me in anything but casual attire, leggings, jogging bottoms, ugg boots, jumpers, scarves hats and gloves.

What kept you sane?
My friends and family for sure.

Who did you miss?
My granddad especially around xmas time.

Who was the best new person you met?
I started volunteering at one of London’s make up shops for schools, Charles H. Fox in Convent Garden and the best person I met was one of the ladies I met named Irene, she is absolutely lovely and so funny :)

Tell us a valuable life lesson you learned in 2010:
Friends and family are the most important people in my life, because some people will really try and bring you down and if you down have that support behind you may just buckle under the pressure. Oooohhhh I’m going all philosophical hahaha.

Was 2010 a good year for you? Why?
Not so much. Due to personal things that went on in my life, that I don’t feel top discuss right now….maybe down the line when I have fully dealt with it.

What was your favorite moment of the year?
When I saw Paramore and You Me At Six in concert.

Where were you when 2010 began?
At home with my family, pretty basic and low key.
Where will you be when 2010 ends?
I was at home with my friends.

Did you make any new friends in 2010?
No I did not, still stuck with my old friends lol. Actually no I did make a new friend; a guy changed classes at my college and joined mine, a nice but odd boy named Elliott :)

What was your favorite month of 2010?
December because that was the month I saw Paramore in concert twice and You Me At Six in concert.

How many different states / provinces did you travel to in 2010?
Well that’s an American thing so as I’m British I’m gonna say none lol, and I didn’t travel anywhere really around England except to look at prospective universities. Southampton is a beautiful place, so picturesque.

What was your favorite movie that you saw in 2010?
Harry Potter and the deathly hallows part 1

I don’t do drugs, except painkillers haha, which I try my hardest not to take unless the pain is unbearable

What was the worst lie someone told you in 2010?
That they were innocent! She was full of BS!!!!!

How much money did you spend in 2010?
I don’t actually know, I did max out my card towards the end of the year which was £750 but in a totally non spoilt way my parents tend to pay for everything and my older sister as well. I am very grateful for the things I receive.

What was your proudest moment of 2010?
Completing the first year of my course :o)

If you could go back in time to any moment of 2010 and change something, what would it be?
June – I would have made sure I got a summer job and not sat at home for the whole of my summer break.

What are your plans for 2011?

Complete my college course

Get a job

Get into university of my choice :)
