After many years of wanting to attend, I FINALLY made it to IMATS! I don't think I can fully express how excited I was to go.
Saturday 11th July me and my best friend Leanne made our way to South Kensington, with our purses in tow ready for the day ahead. Neither of us had been before and had no idea what to expect, but I was thoroughly surprised with what the day brought.

The bestie and I always make time for selfies, especially waiting in those really long queues. We waited an hour in line for NYX.
We made our way around the entire exhibition, checking out what was on offer from each booth and checking out the makeup demos that were going on.
LIVE DEMOS
Everywhere you looked there were demos being done. It was crazy seeing the makeup, SFX, hair and body painting skills of some of the artists there. It was amazing. Seeing all these amazingly talented, creative individuals kind of reignited my passion for makeup. If I'm honest my passion for blogging and makeup had dwindled a bit, I haven't been feeling very inspired or creative. But seeing all that makeup and reflecting on my experience has given me a much needed boost.
MEETING AMY (Shrinkle)
A big part of me going to IMATS was about who I'd be able to meet. I was really excited when I saw that Sugarpill would be in attendance, and was so exited at the prospect of meeting Amy Doan the creator of Sugarpill Cosmetics. I've wanted to try Sugarpill makeup for he longest time but I'm not one for ordering across the pond as I am a bit of a nervous nelly. and stockists in the UK used to sell out quite quick.
I was so nervous waiting in line to meet Amy, I was literally shaking. But she was so sweet, considering she'd been taking pictures with practically everyone who came by the booth. Then came the time to buy some goodies. I've always wanted to try her quads and was worried I wouldn't get one as her booth was buzzing, and they were running out of stock on some products. After tons of swatches I settled on 2 quads which I absolutely love.
If you have the opportunity to go to IMATS at least once, do it. I think we plan on going back next year.
