Today I will be talking about some lip products I got from NYX. I picked these goodies up at IMATS, so the prices listed below are the discounted prices.

I love that most times I write about something there is a story behind it. But to me writing these posts is like talking to my girl friends (and guy friends) and telling them about my interests and the things I like. So here's today's story time. I was looking though a magazine with my best friend, and one of the ads was for Essence makeup, the tag line read "Europe's No.1 makeup brand." I had never heard of this brand before, but with that kind of tagline I had to check it out.

MAC Tropical Taboo

Hey dolls,

I took a little trip down to Westfield (Stratford) and popped into MAC. I dunno the last time I purchased anything from MAC so thought I'd treat myself. As you walked in they had one of their collections right in front of the door and I spotted this gorgeous creamy purple lip gloss and picked up a lip pencil to go with it.

 Vivid pink-ish purple

I bought the lip pencil to wear underneath Narcissus for longevity.

NARCISSUS Cremesheen glass - £17.50

 I've never tried a cremesheen from MAC before, but this colour was just calling to me. I think there may be a few cheeky purchases in the future. The lip gloss is from the Tropical Taboo collection.

 Its described as a dirty eggplant shade.

 Love the name ;)

AVON C1 Haul

I have had so many products to swatch and take pictures of that I'm a little behind with uploading these blog posts but we're not gonna dwell we're just gonna go ahead and look at what I got :)

True Colour Eyeshadow Quad - Vivid Violet - £4

Very happy with how pigmented the eyeshadows were. I love purple, I think it suits dark skinned women (and men  - we don't discriminate here haha) very well. I might upload a picture later of me wearing the shadows. I've said this before but I really wish Avon would name their eyeshadows.

Naturals Vanilla Body Scrub (left)  - £1

Naturals Strawberry Scrub (right) - £1

Body scrubs are the way forward. I only really have gotten into exfoliating in the last few years. 

I love these ones because they aren't harsh on the skin and smell AMAZING!

Irresistibly Sexy

Not too long ago Avon came out with their irresistibly sexy collection which consisted of a mascara and lip gloss. I got the mascara and 2 lip glosses.

Another mascara to add to the collection. I'm very happy with this product, does what it says on the tin and gives me "sexy" lashes haha.

This one is a bit too light for me so I will have to wear it over a lipstick or mix it with another lip gloss.

LOVE this. I'm really into red lips at the moment. I've embraced my inner diva haha.

Love the packaging for this lipstick.

First time I swatched this lipstick I thought it was very bright, not what I expected when I saw it in the catalogue but I'm trying to branch out of my comfort zone and trying more "out there" colours.

superSHOCK lipgloss

Hi guys,

This is one of the best lipglosses I've ever tried. I seriously love them.

SuperSHOCK lipgloss - £2.50

Its not sticky like some lipglosses are but not gross and runny. I don't top it up often (unless I've had a drink or food - but that expected obviously).

The colours show up like they do in the packaging, which I didn't expect.

I love these lip glosses and the applicator us the best applicator Ive used.

Do you see how pigmented they are? Brilliant.

I don't have a bad word to say about these glosses.

Sleek haul

Hey dolls,

So I was having a look on the sleek website a while back and I initially went on there with the intentions of buying the Ultra Matte palettes. But unfortunately they only had the brights, I really wanted V2 (which is still out of stock), and its not in store either :( So I keep checking back in the hopes its there but alas.

So any who, enough with my gibber jabber. On with the haul...

Really love these pencils. I love the fact that you can use them for your eyes, lips and eyebrows. I'm a big fan of versatile products. I bought these for the sole purpose of being a lip liner. But I have had an idea as I'm writing this for something I can use these for :) The staying power of these is brilliant. I would eat and drink with this on and it wouldn't budge.

This is my first lipgloss from Sleek and the colour is gorgeous. The only thing I don't like is the applicator. I prefer doe foot applicators.

Sadly the yellow did not show up on my skintone. I have yet to find a yellow that looks as pigmented as it does in the pan.I'm hoping if I use it along with the sleek primer palette it will show up more vibrant (fingers crossed).

Like the yellow, the orange didn't show up too bright, but I'm hoping if I use the primer it will show up better. I'll update on this later.

NAILED polish - Turquoise - £3.89

Like the lipgloss, this nail polish was a first. And I can happily say that I I am very impressed. And this is the first of many purchases I will be making (not for a while though as I'm on a nail polish buying ban - I have way too many)

Avon C8

Hellooo,

Although I haven't been blogging I was still purchasing a few bits from Avon. Along with the few beauty products I bought I also got items from their tea set collection, you can see the post on them here.

ColorTrend have come out with these lip gloss and nail polish sets. I got the set in "FLIRTY". Very pink and very bright.

 ColorTremd Nail polish in FLIRTY - £1.50

I LOVE the colour but the only problem I find is that it chips really easily. I'm hoping that when I next wear it with a top coat all will be fine. The best thing I found about this polish is that it drys SUPER QUICK.

Avon have come out with these new eyeliners in their glimmerstick range. They're chrome eyeliners. Now I was beyond disappointed with these, fair enough in the swatch they look pigmented and the colours are nice, but these look nothing like they did  in the catalogue.

Avon Haul C6

So its that time again...its Avon haul time :)

Trying to take the pictures for this blog post was an epic fail. I did my best but I am in need of a new camera.

Nail Experts Strong Results - £1.50
I bought this to see if it could help me on my journey to grow my nails and keep them strong and healthy. I haven't had it long enough to say if it works, but like I said in my previous NOTD post I will be doing a nail growth journey update. You use this just like you would a normal nail polish. Every time I change my nail colour this goes on before any polish.

Nail Experts Grow Potion - £2.50
This was bought in conjunction with the Strong results to help my nails grow,  it comes with a doe foot applicator and you rub this on the nails and cuticle area and massage it in. Once I have used it for long enough I will say if it works or not. It will most likely be talked about in my nail growth journey. I put this on before the Strong results, let it soak in and then apply the strong results and the polishes Im using on that occasion.

Moisture seduction lip gloss - Pearly Pink - £3.50
This was a re-purchase, because I LOVE this lip gloss, its so pigmented and bright..It doesn't dry out my lips. I wanted to get this before it went up to full price (£7).

Ultra Rich Colordisiac lipstick - Rose addiction - £1.50

This lipstick is lovely and I absolutely love the packaging :) I got this so I could have a nice not so intense lipstick for the day  time. Most of my lipstick fall under the same colour umbrella deep reds, wine, berry etc (as you will see from the lipstick below) so this will be a nice somewhat natural colour for the day.

Kiss 'n' go lipstick - Terracotta - £1

Rich, creamy and moisturising lipstick that is in my comfort zone of colours. I have quite a few color trend lipsticks and if you've seen previous posts they are quite similar in colour, but hey ho when you find something you like you kinda stick with it, like when you see girls that love nude lipsticks. Its just what I like, especially with my skin tone, these colours work very well.

SuperShock gel liner pencil - £3

Again another re-purchase. I love this eyeliner and it was going at half price so I thought what the hell, I might as well get it now and have a back up for when the one I'm using  runs out, which will be soon as I use it EVERY time I wear make up.

Ultra Rich Colordisiac lipstick - Rose addiction - its showing up a lot darker in the picture than what it is, it is very much what it says on the tin, a rose colour.

When I saw this necklace I was like I HAVE to have this. Its so pretty and right up my street. And I love the fact that you can change the pearls inside.

Lipsy London clutch bag - £8

A simple black patent leather clutch with...now which animal do I describe this as? haha croc or snake?...I'm gonna go with snake skin effect. This was originally a birthday present for my friend but it wasn't quite to her taste, so I say waste not want not. And I love it, its gonna be something I use on a night out/
